At least… it looks that way on paper.

And you have no interest in visiting a doctor every week, eating yucky foods, exhausting yourself with crazy workouts, or conducting so much research you might as well get a masters in nutrition. (No thank you!)

You’re not trying to eat “perfectly” by any stretch of the imagination. It’s not like you need a six-pack. While looking better and losing weight is always a plus, you have no interest in being the next instagram, thin-spo, fitness model, celebrity.

You just want to find a permanent solution that’s simple and sustainable. You just want to feel at home in your own body, so you can stop searching and get back to rockin’ your mission.

I get it, because I’ve totally been there, and that’s exactly why I’m here to help.

Technically I’m a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, but actually, I’m more like a nutrition nerdette who’s certified in all of the areas YOU need, so you don’t have to be! That means, I’m here to help YOU zoom out and look at your health from the BIG picture, so you can make the nutrition and lifestyle changes that will actually make a difference.

See, I know that your “little” problems are a result of your overall health.
Sure, nutrition matters, but it’s not the whole picture.

And I’m here to help you figure out BOTH parts of the health equation, because I believe that you deserve to live a life that feels damn good to you!

My personal health journey has had its own (not-so-fun) ups and downs.

Growing up, I was raised by a single mum, and food was often hard to come by. My dinner would usually consist of a small bowl of rice gruel, with more water than rice. When there wasn’t even gruel, I just drank vinegar with salt to stave off the hunger pains. Strangely, I still really love vinegar to this day (but I’m happy to report that now it goes on a salad!).

I’m not telling you this to throw myself a pity party (although I DO love parties!). I’m telling you this because while that hunger motivated me to succeed in life, it also gave me the (false) perception that everything always had to be a struggle. I used to think that if you wanted something, you had to work DAMN hard for it. Granted, my hard work did bring me some true blessings: a dream job, a gorgeous partner and a beautiful daughter whom I adore.

But, it also led me to assume that even being healthy had to be difficult.

(Spoiler alert: It doesn’t!)

Needless to say, stress and sickness became my “norm.” I put everything into my “dream job,” so I was always tired. Between work and my couch I just didn’t have a life. My body was riddled with aches and pains. I felt heavy and bloated constantly. My head was always in some sort of fog. And the worst part? I felt hopeless (yes, hopeless) about life despite a great career and gorgeous family. LIFE WAS IN MONOTONE.

And I tried everything.

No seriously, everything. I ate all the “right” stuff. Whole wheat stuff, low fat stuff, sugar free stuff, whole grain muesli stuff… I tried bootcamp style workouts but they just made me more tired. I tried running but it just screwed up my back.

At one point I had a physiotherapist, an osteopath, a Pilates instructor, a naturopath, a podiatrist, an acupuncturist… who all wanted me to keep coming back for the next session. And the NEXT session.

But with no help! I continued to “struggle” and work at getting healthy, as if that never could have just been my “natural state.”

I WAS THE SICKEST “HEALTHY” PERSON I KNEW.

Here’s the problem; it wasn’t just the food that was making me sick, it was my “struggle” and stress levels too.

Once this happened, my life was transformed. And listen, I don’t mean that all of a sudden I started spending all day making smoothies and juices, either! I’m a busy woman with a career, a business, and a teenage daughter! Most days I don’t even get home until late at night. But, here’s the thing – I learned exactly what I needed to do for MY body. I stopped trying so hard, and learned how to listen. I discovered that good nutrition could be simple, intuitive and stress free. I could approach life with a sense of calm and balance and get back to living the full life I knew I deserved.

And what happened? I was FILLED with energy. I got a promotion at work, went to school for nutrition, started this business. I was doing SOOO much that I loved and I never felt more alive.

Food isn’t the enemy.

It is actually a tool in our journey to good health and full lives.

Health isn’t just the absence of disease. It is the presence of true energy, clarity, purpose and happiness!

Nourishment isn’t just what we eat.

It’s what we feed our souls.

Pre-heat oven to 98.6 degrees
1 cup – Integrative Nutrition Health Coach certification.
1 cup – Holistic Health Coach certification with the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP).
1 cup – Personal experience. (For empathy and relatability)
1/2 cup – Training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. (The world’s cutting edge leader in holistic nutrition.)
1 TBSP – A background in Project management. (My programs are efficient and well structured)
1/2 tsp – Years working IT. (I provide a tech savvy and modern approach to coaching)
Dash of – okay, hundreds of –  hours of studying cutting edge nutrition information,
Mix together and place in a 9×9 non-greased baking sheet.
Bake for seven years or until the fork comes out clean.

And VOILA! You have a nurturing, informative and encouraging coach, armed with all of the information you need so you can reclaim your relationship with food once and for all. I’m a real nutrition nerd so that YOU don’t have to be.
