This is my basic recipe, and it’s a winner each time. Try it and let me know how you go. It’s the only bliss ball recipe you’ll ever need!
This is a protein, fibre and mineral rich snack, much better than commercial snack / muesli bars which only create sugar rush without providing proper nutrition .
1 cup pitted dates
1 cup almonds
1/3 cup raw cacao powder
1/3 cup melted coconut oil
1 teaspoon organic maple syrup / rice malt syrup / raw honey (I prefer maple syrup as it pours easily)
½ cup shredded coconut + 1/3 cup for rolling balls at at the end
Soak dates in warm water for 15 minutes. Blend together almonds, cacao, 1/2 cup shredded coconut, honey and coconut oil in a food processor. Then add soaked dates and process some more until fully mixed through. If too dry, add some more coconut oil or some of the soaking water for the dates. Shape into balls and roll into the remaining shredded coconut to coat. Refrigerate for at least 10 minutes. Done!#rawchocolate #health
